Padmaja received her BA in International Relations and Business Studies from Tulane University in 2003 and began her business journey as a Special Services Representative for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in New York City for a couple of years. After that she returned to Rajasthan, India in 2007 and became the Joint Managing Director among the third generation of heritage-hoteliers at the Historic Resort Hotels.

The Historic Resort Hotels (HRH) is India’s only chain of heritage palace-hotels and resorts under private ownership. Headquartered in Udaipur, a city founded in 1559 on the banks of Lake Pichola, HRH Group of Hotels is preserving palaces and sanctuary - resorts. The group offers regal experiences in island-palaces, museums, galleries, car collections, and much more.

After 4 years as a Joint Managing Director for HRH, Padmaja was promoted to an Executive Director which is a position she still holds today.

She is also currently on the Advisory Board for the Bvlgari Hotel, London since 2012. Bulgari Hotels & Resorts is the leading luxury hospitality collection in the world. Comprised of a few, selected properties in major cosmopolitan cities and luxury resort destinations, its aim is to convey the excitement of the Bulgari brand, it’s timeless glamour and its heritage of magnificent Italian jeweler. The new Bulgari Hotel in London is set in the heart of Knightsbridge, the city’s most prestigious neighborhood.

Due to her unique experiences, she has been invited to attend and speak at numerous events across the globe including Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit, Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network, Maharaja - Representation & Reality Seminar at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and many more.
